Is this a medical device?

No. Taproo Emergency ID is an information-storage tool, not a regulated medical device. It doesn't diagnose, treat or replace professional clinical identification, a clinician-prescribed medical alert bracelet, or emergency services. In a life-threatening emergency, always call your local emergency number first.

Can I set my Emergency ID as my phone lock-screen wallpaper?

Yes — it's a free bonus included with every Emergency ID page. In the editor, open 'Lock screen wallpaper' under PIN & print formats, choose a style (Light, Dark, ICE Rose or Hi-contrast), pick iPhone or Android resolution, and download the PNG. First responders see your ICE info the instant they pick up your phone — no tap or scan needed.

Do paramedics actually scan QR / NFC bracelets?

Yes — UK paramedics are trained to look for emergency ID jewellery and an increasing number carry NFC-enabled phones. The visible ICE symbol catches the eye first, and the QR is a universal fallback for any camera-equipped phone.

Is my emergency data stored securely?

Yes. Your Taproo Emergency ID page is hosted on UK infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. The page itself shows only the fields you choose to publish — your full account stays private, and sensitive fields can be PIN-gated.

Can I add multiple emergency contacts?

Yes. Add as many as you like, each with one-tap call/text buttons. You can also gate sensitive fields behind a 'tap to reveal' PIN if you prefer.

Will the bracelet survive showers and sleeping?

Yes. The silicone band is splash-resistant and the chip is rated for years of daily wear. Most users only replace the band when they want a new colour.
