Is the digital business card free?

Yes. The hosted vCard page and QR code are free on every Taproo plan, forever. Paid plans add scan analytics, lead-capture forms and a custom domain. Physical NFC business cards are an optional one-off purchase.

How is a digital business card different from a paper one?

Your digital card lives at a permanent URL. Update your job title, phone number or LinkedIn once and every QR you've shared (and every NFC card in someone's wallet) points to the new details — no reprints, ever.

Do recipients need an app to save my contact?

No. The page works in any phone browser; tapping 'Save contact' adds you straight into iOS or Android contacts as a standard vCard.

What's the difference between the free page and an NFC card?

The free page is a URL with a QR — perfect for email signatures and Zoom backgrounds. The NFC card is a physical card you tap on someone's phone for an instant share — ideal for in-person meetings, trade shows and conferences.

Can I see who scanned my card?

Yes. Every scan or NFC tap is logged with timestamp, device type and rough location. Free plan includes 500 scans per month; Pro is 25,000.

Does the NFC card work on iPhones?

Yes. Every iPhone from XS (2018) onwards reads NFC tags natively from the lock screen — no app, no setup. Older phones use the printed QR fallback.
