What is an NFC code generator?

Can I change an NFC code after writing it to a tag?
- Yes, as long as the tag holds a Taproo link. The chip keeps the same short link forever and you edit the page it opens from your dashboard, so a tag already stuck to a menu, keyring or card never has to be re-written or reprinted. You can re-point a tag between your own Taproo pages as often as you like on any plan; on Free, pointing a tag at an external web address can be changed once, and Pro remove that limit.
What's the difference between a QR code and an NFC tag?
- A QR code is scanned with the camera and can be printed on anything; an NFC tag is tapped with the phone and needs no camera or app. Taproo links work with both, so the same page can be reached either way.
What is a dynamic QR code?
- A dynamic QR code encodes a short Taproo link rather than the final destination, so you can change where it goes after printing and see scan statistics. A static QR code hard-codes the destination and can never be changed.
