NFC Anti-metal Epoxy Taproo Tag sticker — questions and answers

Do I need an app to use the NFC Anti-metal Epoxy Taproo Tag sticker?

No app is needed to tap it. Every iPhone XS and newer reads NFC tags in the background — unlock the phone and hold it near the tag. Most Android phones on Android 10 or later read tags from the lock screen. Older iPhone 7, 8 and X models need the free NFC Tools app open.

Does it arrive ready to use, or do I have to program it?

The NFC Anti-metal Epoxy Taproo Tag sticker ships pre-programmed and linked to your Taproo page, so it works the moment it arrives. If you'd rather set it up yourself, each item comes with an activation code you can redeem at taproo.com/activate and point anywhere you like.

Can I change where it points after it arrives?

Yes. The tag stores a short Taproo link, and you edit the destination page from your dashboard as often as you like. The physical tag never needs re-writing, so a new phone number, menu or address goes live instantly.

How much does the NFC Anti-metal Epoxy Taproo Tag sticker cost and is shipping included?

It's £12.99 each, with bulk discounts applied automatically as quantity increases. UK shipping is free on orders over £50, and orders are dispatched from the UK within 1–2 working days.

What if it doesn't work or I change my mind?

As a UK or EU consumer you can cancel most orders within 14 days of delivery and we refund within 30 days of the return — the full policy is in our terms. If a tag arrives faulty, contact us and we'll replace it.

Will this NFC sticker work on the back of my phone?

Yes — that's the main use for it. The anti-metal layer lets it read even on an aluminium or stainless phone back or case. On an iPhone, keep it clear of the MagSafe ring and the camera bump so the phone's own NFC antenna isn't blocked.

What's the difference between an anti-metal NFC sticker and a normal one?

Only the shielding. Both use the same NTAG chip and both hold the same kind of link. A normal sticker is thinner and cheaper but must sit on plastic, glass, wood, paper or fabric. The anti-metal version adds a ferrite layer so metal behind it doesn't kill the read.

Can I stick it on a car, tool or machine?

Yes. The epoxy dome is waterproof and scratch-resistant, and the adhesive is designed for smooth, clean, dry surfaces. Wipe the surface with alcohol first and press for ten seconds. For rough or oily surfaces, mount it on a small plastic plate instead.
